How do you play Taboo (Forbidden Words)?

Split into teams. One player describes the target word without saying any forbidden clues on the card. Your team guesses before time runs out. Passes are limited. Tadado includes timers, scoring, and themed decks so you can start in seconds.

How do you play Heads Up charades?

Hold the phone on your forehead so you cannot see the word. Friends give clues without saying the word. Tilt down when you guess correctly, tilt up to skip. Tadado uses the same decks in Heads Up and Taboo modes.

Is Tadado one of the best free word game apps?

Tadado is built for game night: Taboo, Heads Up charades, free Tadado Mix, optional themed decks, and AI deck creation. No ads and no subscription, which makes it one of the best value word game apps on iOS and Android.

Yes. Tadado Mix is free to play. Optional theme decks and AI deck creation are one-time purchases. See Pricing for details. There is no subscription.

What is the difference between Taboo and Heads Up?

Forbidden Words is team-based Taboo: describe without forbidden words. Heads Up puts the phone on your forehead while friends give clues. Both use the same decks.

Does Tadado have ads?

No. Tadado is ad-free. You only pay for optional decks or AI creation if you choose.

How does AI deck creation work?

Write a topic, like "Marvel movies" or "90s pop hits", and Tadado generates a playable deck in seconds for both game modes.

What languages are supported?

The app UI is available in 17 languages including English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, and more.
